    3. Hold the piece of cord you are going to cut with a piece of cheesecloth underneath.<\/li>
    4. Using sterilized scissors, cut between the two clamps.<\/li>
    5. Rub away excess blood. (The amount of blood depends on how long you wait to cut the cord; the longer you wait, the less blood there will be.)<\/li>
