Nebulizing mask

Additionally, in emergency situations, the nebulizer mask is administered to relieve acute symptoms such as shortness of breath and decreased oxygen saturation.

The nebulizing face mask is also commonly administered throughout the hospital environment, such as in the operating room during surgery and during postoperative recovery, and in intensive care units for critically ill patients.

Main Features

• The proximal end of the tube is connected with a funnel-shaped connector for easy connection to the oxygen source.

Instructions for use:

• Before using the nebulizing face mask:
  • Perform hand hygiene.
  • Wash your hands with warm water and soap. Dry well, put on gloves and aprons.
  • Apply clean gloves.
• While using the nebulizing facial mask
  • Place the prescribed medication in the nebulizer bottle (maximum 6 cc).
  • Carefully place the lid on the jar.
  • Attach one end of the delivery tube to the small stem on the bottom of the nebulizer.
  • Connect the nebulizer to the inlet of the mask.
  • Connect the remaining end of the supply tube to the desired pressure source.
  • Adjust the oxygen flow to 5-6 L PM and check the flow through the device (optimal amount of flow may vary depending on pressure source).
  • Place the mask on the patient's face with the elastic strap under the ears and around the neck.
  • Gently pull on the strap ends until the mask is secure.
  • Shape the metal strap of the mask to fit your nose.
• After using the nebulizing facial mask
  • Perform hand hygiene
  • Disconnect the mask from the stem supply resource.
  • Remove the device from the patient's face.
  • Remove gloves and place the patient in a comfortable position. Assess the patient's comfort level.
  • Perform hand hygiene.

Contraindications:

1. Anomalies or surgery of the face, nose, or mouth that prevent a properly fitting nebulizing face mask.
2. Blocked nasal passages
3. All patients with unfavorable ventilatory response to oxygen treatment. If O2 treatment is not effective (unfavorable or unfavorable ventilatory response), mechanical ventilation should be used, as in all cases in patients in respiratory coma.
4. It should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the materials used.
5. This mask may not be suitable for patients at risk of reflux of gastric contents.
6. Monitoring is recommended if the patient has a reduced level of consciousness or is unable to remove the mask.
